Fiat Mephistopheles – 1924 World Record “Car”

The Fiat Mephistopheles is a true unique “car”, driven by Ernest Eldridge to the world recort of 234,987 km/h at the 12. July 1924. To achieve this, he used a 350-horsepower, 21 liter airship engine. The weight of the engine is about 520 kg and the gas usage for 100 km would be around 200 litres. (c) by Fiat

    Oh yeah. This really beats the car which was made by one man in Finland. Is has 27 liters motor. It is not made to compete, but to show that a man alone can make cars, if he wants.
