Banksy wall and piece book and MacBook sticker:
A while ago I purchased Banksy´s book “wall and piece”. He is one of my favourite contemporary artists. The artwork in this book is full of whitty graphic statements, with no barrier of any age, culture and language.
By buying a sticker for my MacBook, I finally felt forced to share some images.
Fritz Elvis von Bronewski Boy Scout Knife:
Last weekend I actually “ran” into this nice knife and I knew I had to buy it for my first (un) born son. A not too well kept secret that his name is going to be “Fritz Elvis” and until know, non of my girlfriends disagreed when asking the question right from the beginning of the relationship if that is – ok. Im not too sure if I should sharpen it already be-cause it is blunt as a knife can be. Probably there is some time left to finish this task, best to do this together and teach him how to do it right when he is about – let´s say around 6 years old.
100 beards 100 days book by Jonathan Daniel Pryce:
Sweetheart & Sister Gloria made me this present recently. She not only got one of the limited prints of this book, no she even got it with some personal notes and signatures by Jonathan Daniel Price. A remarkable project/book by Jonathan, which is a joy to just scroll through. Check also his lifestyle blog for more of his work!
The Burning House book by Foster Huntington:
Today I finally received the Burning House book by Foster Huntington. I followed this project since its beginning around 2011. The idea is quite simple. Imagine your house is burning down to its grounds, what would you save from the fire. Its a great insight to the different priorities by individuals. Items like pictures, backup drives, pets, cameras, books or stuff which sometime in their lives proofed to be essential to them.
The most interesting post to me is the post by Paul Mading Kwaje a farmer from Sudan. It not only shows the reach of this project, but also how different the view of importance to someone can be. His items he picked are truly essencial for him and his surviving. Thanks Foster for this great project and sharing it with us not only online but also making the effort to publish this great book.

Ships, a 5000 year history told by Brian Lavery:
While being in France and walking trough the streets of Bayonne I saw this book in the window of a bookshop. They had a nautical festival that week and 5 vintage boats down the river on display. So the bookshop rearranged the window for that reason. We were glad to hear about the exhibition (we went there before meeting Mr. MotArt) and to get a present with this book for a friend as well.
The book covers 5000 years of maritime history and adventures in about 400 pages. Loaded with a lot of images and drawings. Perfect to get some basic knowledge and some inspiration.
