But now I´m well stocked with pennies, about half a kilo of pennies are here and probably most birth years should be within it. Just ask if you want one made with your year of birth.

For a long time I´ve been watching this vintage Ulmia Ott workbench in Manfreds Garage. When I saw the restoration project of a similar Ulmia workbench @ TopHatter I finally asked him how he liked the idea of “getting rid” of this workbench. Actually he needed more space be-cause of the just bought Feinschmuck Fiat 238. So we roughly cleaned the bench, let it dry for a day and moved it into my home yesterday. This is the workspace where Feinschmucks buckles are hand sewn and turn into a belt from now on.
This guy caught our sight and sure our ears & the Bread & Butter Fair summer 2013. Now we will see him again at the 5th. Anniversary Party of B-74 in Frankfurt. Feinschmuck & be- cause will be there as well to present the new Feinschmuck Collection to take images and for sure to meet some friends – cu there!
Ok i lied it´s an American Penny and not a Pfennig but I hope it works just as well as a talisman. I have to do some research in my drawers to find some old Pfennige but as a first draft the belt turned out pretty well. Sharper tools and a bit more space for the penny will give the belt a more professional look. The belt or the idea for the belt was born when I was asked to make a small belt (50cm) for the two year old daughter of friends. But a penny is too big for that little belt so I had to change plans. How do you like the – raw version? please comment.
I keep on practicing on my leather craft skills and I found a very good source for solid brass hardware for buckles and bolt snaps or the famous Tiger Thread or copper rivets. Seams look now more aligned than two weeks ago and techniques on cutting leather improved also a lot.

A while ago Peter Gensberger from RLX5513 sent me this dark green hand sewn leather sheath / case for business cards. Made out of a 4mm thick leather, hand sewn with contrast yellow thread and a quickdraw mechanism, its a great addition to your EDC.

Back in 2000 I did about 130 drysuit dives in coldwater in one year, nearly all decompression dives. Maximum depth was more than 70m for 10 minutes and then 50m for another 10 minutes. So I was quite interested in having a closer look at the Squale Professional Diver Watches that Amtraq is distributing now. A non fancy divers watch with all the classical features. A bezel for keeping track of the time (can be alternatively used for backing bread as well) auto eta clockwork, saphir glass and the watch crown later than 4 o´clock.
