RLX5513 Business Card Case P3 – Giveaway!

A while ago Peter Gensberger from RLX5513 sent me this dark green hand sewn leather sheath / case for business cards. Made out of a 4mm thick leather, hand sewn with contrast yellow thread and a quickdraw mechanism, its a great addition to your EDC.

My plan is to give it to one of my fellow readers. So how do you get it?
Head over to the be-cause-blog Facebook accountlike+share and comment this post there (why you want this case).

1st. of Oktober 2013 I will then draw the winner and will sent it worldwide for free.

RLX5513 handmade in Germany bags:
Having had a great weekend in Frankfurt, I was really happy to finally meet Peter Gernsberger from RLX5513 and have a look at the handbags he makes. Out of deadstock swiss army canvas and natural tanned leather he has designed and crafted a unique and wide range of bags. Made with a lot of skill and the style to be your next lifetimegear. Photos were taken inside and outside of the Lola Vingage box in Neu Isenburg. Check Peters Facebook site for more images of his bags.

Dehen 1920 Signature Varsity Jacket:

What a nice collaboration between my family and one of my friends Uwe from Amtraq. For my anniversary I had the joy to unwrap this great jacket which was on my wishlist since seing the first time.

What a bomb proof construction with some of the best materials around. My favorite is the structure/surface of the american bison leather. Its like a bigger scotch grain but not as much as ostrich leather. Best of all, it looks great from the beginning, no big break in time.

Here are the facts:

  • Pendleton 24 ounce melton wool body
  • American Bison leather sleeves and pocket welts
  • Chenille and embroidered decoration
  • 100% worsted wool trim
  • Quilted lining
  • Snap front closure

For orders check the Amtraq distributed stockists.

Stanley Thermos:
First of all the sad stuff, they are made in China since about 8 years an no loger in the USA. But except from that they are a classic item you need to have. The design is mainly unchanged since 100 years now, if that doesn´t speaks a language. I was giving away two of them one to a friend and one to my sister and theyboth love them. With my friend, “where is Stanley” turned out to be a common phrase and I envied him for “Stanley”. My sister uses “Stanley” even as a part of self defense kit when walking home at night from work.

The main reason I did not by one, was that I already have a similar size steel one. But you have to understand that Stanleys have got a kind of a soul. With their look, their handle and the performance to burn your moth on the content even after 12 hours. So I´m a happy owner of one as well now. Welcome to the club! Try it out, give a good friend one as a present and see how long you last before you buy your own or beg him for a greenish  present with a handle.

Here a vintage one from the USA.
