Stanley Thermos:
First of all the sad stuff, they are made in China since about 8 years an no loger in the USA. But except from that they are a classic item you need to have. The design is mainly unchanged since 100 years now, if that doesn´t speaks a language. I was giving away two of them one to a friend and one to my sister and theyboth love them. With my friend, “where is Stanley” turned out to be a common phrase and I envied him for “Stanley”. My sister uses “Stanley” even as a part of self defense kit when walking home at night from work.
The main reason I did not by one, was that I already have a similar size steel one. But you have to understand that Stanleys have got a kind of a soul. With their look, their handle and the performance to burn your moth on the content even after 12 hours. So I´m a happy owner of one as well now. Welcome to the club! Try it out, give a good friend one as a present and see how long you last before you buy your own or beg him for a greenish present with a handle.
i forgot about those, my grandpa had one we took on ice fishing and skadoo trips when i was a little girl…..i think i need one for my adult self and my long days of winter pruning. Oh dear stanley i think i have fallen for you, you thing of beauty you x
do it, he is kind of a family member already, even my gradfathers thermos were more orange, plastic and glass inside so the didn´t make it too long.
