Mountain panorama this morning:
What a great panorama view on my way cycling to work. The water in front is the lake of constance (Bodensee), behind the newly snow covered alps and the big one is the Säntis. I better hurry up to make some more hiking trips this autumn or snow shoes are the other option.
Ecke 32 Manufacture Store Konstanz: After a too strong coffee I decided to cycle to Konstanz for a visit at the Ecke 32 Manufacture Store. Lars Nehren was able to get some of the finest brands available to the lake of constance (Bodensee) area for what I´m and others are really happy about. Labels like Tellason, Red Wing, Momotaro, Merz beim Schwanen, Schiesser Revival, LVC and Wolverine just to name a view, are presented only a view metres away from the Konstanz Cathedral. First thursday in the month from 7pm to 9pm he hosts the possibility of private shopping upon appointment. Thanks Lars for your time, even on a very busy saturday!
See la vie – Private party in the vineyard: The winegrowers of the bavarian part of the lake of constance did a private party in a vineyard for their friends last sunday. Great day, weather, wine, sound, folks, organization, and food. I hope there will be See la vie 2.0. Thanks a lot to the winegrowers Deufel, Haugand Lanz.
Mary caught some Kretzer, Flußbarsch or Egli fish: While I was struggling on Sunday with a “bit” of a hangover, Mary went fishing and caught not huge but a lot of Kretzer – Flußbarsch or Egli´s (i guess it is calle Perch). They were a bit too big to be eaten like sardines (the whole) but great in taste. Thanks a lot for this!
Hohentwiel Schaufelraddampfer – paddlewheeler Being sunday on the lake for a bit of sailing the Hohentwiel came really close to us. The Hohentwielwas build in 1913 and was once the stateship of King Wilhelm II. of Baden Württemberg. Put out of service in 1963 it was restored in the 80th until 1988 and is since cruising on the lake of constance. Inside the ship you can see the engine working and see the full beauty of a perfect restauration. Do not miss the chance of one of her dinner or jazz cruises on the lake – could be an unforgettable time.
Meeting Mr. MotArt Journal in Bayonne – Vintage Vietnam Zippo: While being in south of France for a week I was able to meet Frank from MotArt Journal. It was a great pleasure to have a coffee with him in Bayonne and I hope we see soon again. Probably @ the Monaco boat show with our new Boat or at the press launch at lake of constance. Btw. great vintage original Vietnam Zippo – for sure he got style.
