Swiss army backpack – salt and pepper – how to close it!
I never was too happy how I used to close this backpack – there is for sure some soldier proof instruction around. I´m heading for some serious barbecue and I thought again how to close it better. There are two d-rings / loops in the middle of the rucksack, just go with one of the sting in the upper and pull and the with the other string in the lower and pull. Go with the ends around the canvas and do a bow knot. Thats it, it is closed and fixed to the pack. Since the material is very strong and stiff other methods until now resulted in a too high profile of the back.

als großer vintageheritageauthenticrugged etc. Fan bin ich über Dein Blog und den Schweizer Armeerucksack gestolpert. Jetzt habe ich auch einen (eBay 30€). Und ich stand auch etwas rätselnd vor dem Verschluss. Mein Vorschlag: erst die Bänder durch den obersten D-Ring damit man oben gut zuziehen kann. Dann die unteren D-Ringe wie einen Doppel-D-Ring-Verschluss beim Motorradhelm verwenden. Also die Bänder einmal von oben durch beide Ringe und dann nochmal retour durch den oberen. Dann kann man einfach zuziehen auch ohne Schleife obenrum.
Hach, dass sind die wirklichen Probleme im Leben ;-)

keine ahnung ob ich das jetzt genau verstanden habe aber ich werde es die tage mal ausprobieren. nur ist mir bei deinem vorschlag schon zu viel gefädel. mir ging es ja nur darum das die “spitze” des rucksacks nicht nach hoben absteht und es sollte schnell gehen. wenn es ein bisschen geschlossen ist und dann auch noch nach unten klappt dann kommt da glaube/hoffe ich nicht so viel wasser rein. ich kann es aber auch nicht so genau sagen da ich noch keine ersthaften regenschauer mit dem rucksack erlebt habe. ja ja probleme haben wir aber es hält sich in grenzen, lg nach hamburg vom bodensee, alex
