pure blue japan & Syoaiya:
Im far from being a denim expert, but the denim i saw at the stand of pure blue japan & Syoaiya was the most extraordinary in color, texture and look for me. Not much to say about it, i hope the macro shoots speak for himself. The uneven weaving caused by old looms and the rich indigo color will result in a great development which you see on the worn samples at the end of this post.

Fein und Ripp – Pike Brothers Party – Bread & Butter 2013:
At the Fire Dept. I had the chance to have a talk with Fabian from Pike Brothers and he invited me to Fein und Ripp at the party. Traditional Bavarian food and beer was served there by Fabian and it was the place to go at the wednesday after the Bread & Butter fair.
Fein und Ripp can be described as a well stocked Pike Brothers homebase. But as you can see it´s another unique shop far away from being normal which is surely worth a visit. The interieur is carefully selected and seems natural in there. Family run by father and his two sons with a great dedication to quality and deadstock items. Check their news section for keeping updated about their latest finds.

Thedileathers @ Harry Damson Store Friedrichshain Berlin:I was very fortunate to run into Thedi & Alex who were in the Harry Damson Store in Friedrichshain – Berlin. Thedi with his handsome appearance, who could easily be the the more greek looking twin of Jeff Bridges was hard to overlook in Berlin. His stand at the Bread & Butter at the Fire Department was always crowded. So I had the chance to have a talk with him and a closer look at his leather products there. Thedi who used to design for Harley Davidson Europe surely knows how to design and produce great stuff. Either trim cut leather jackets, rugged belts or leather bags he got it all right. Squale Professional Divers Watches:
Back in 2000 I did about 130 drysuit dives in coldwater in one year, nearly all decompression dives. Maximum depth was more than 70m for 10 minutes and then 50m for another 10 minutes. So I was quite interested in having a closer look at the Squale Professional Diver Watches that Amtraq is distributing now. A non fancy divers watch with all the classical features. A bezel for keeping track of the time (can be alternatively used for backing bread as well) auto eta clockwork, saphir glass and the watch crown later than 4 o´clock. Alternatively equipped with an Nato watch strap or a leather one by L.I. Sounders.

The Heritage Post – Feinschmuck:
One of the most anticipated things was to check the new issue of The Heritage Post as we knew some Feinschmuck products will be covered in an article. But we did not know how many items or pages. Needless to say we were more than happy to see that actually 3 full pages with lots of my images made it in the magazine. Thanks a lot to Uwe van Afferden, and Ronny Schröder and especially for the really well written article to Stefanie Kobayashi.
On the last two images you see Uwe having fun with our latest creation the ancient Roman dices.

Hiking Trip from Sibratsgfäll to Schönenbach, Vorarlberg – Austria:
This is one of the standart hikes we do when weather is bad or the snow is still trapped in the mountains. Not too high in altitude but in a nice surrounding – scenery. At the end of the valley there is the village Schönenbach which is only inhabited in summertime. Famous for their milk and cheese we do not fail to restock some local made stuff there.
