Janapar – what a journey!
Watched this movie in the middle of the night. What a great journey and story. It´s about endurance, goals, love, friendship, dreams, hospitality, traveling and to follow your heart.
For less than 15 Euro you can view the movie right now – absolute worth to support it.

Official synopsis:
23-year-old Englishman Tom Allen is all set for a successful career, but he finds himself persisted by the question of our time: isn’t there more to life than this? Leaving it all behind, Tom sets off on the ultimate quest for freedom.

For the next 12,000 miles, with neither maps nor guidebooks, Tom films the unfolding of his dream. But the journey takes an unlikely detour when he falls in love with an Iranian-Armenian girl.

Filmed over four years with cinematic ambition, Janapar — named after the Armenian word for journey — is an honest and life-affirming tale of finding what you’re looking for when you least expect it.

Ernest Shackelton – Endurance expedition 1914 – 1917

Ernest Shackelton – Endurance expedition 1914 – 1917:
If you never heard about this dude and his crew, take the time to watch this great story about true men.
Amazing we are all just – pussy’s. If you do not want to watch all 11/11 videos, read at least the Wikipedia article about Shackelton article. The real tragedy I heard was not how and that all of his men survived the hardship of this 3 years expedition. It´s that all his men died in WWI after they made it back home.

The add in the London Times for hiring his crew got quite famous:
“Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in event of success.”
5000 men applied only a view were taken!
