Here my personal highlights selection of the brand new Manufactum Spring/Summer catalogue for 2013. The Red Wing 8052 is quite high ranked on my shopping list!
Coffee Break – self roasted coffee beans:
Some close up shoots of my just roasted coffee beans, made in the Whirley Pop popcorn pot. Not possible to get an espresso more fresh and tasty. And another nice side effect, the whole flat is enriched by coffee roasting flavour.
Stille Tage in Clichy – Henry Miller:
Book of the Day & Night. A inspirational, quick, rude, romantic and exotic book you should have read. Haven´t, get it!

Schmalznudeln Café Fischhut:
The Café Fischhut is a must if you are in Munich close to the Viktualienmarkt and suffer from “hunger”. I usually eat the Schmalznudeln there “to go” but this time we went inside and I have to say they are even more “out of the fat/pan”. Great stuff!
Pinguin Books luminous billboard:
Yesterday night I found this great billboard in front of a bookshop. It closed down and they gave it away for free. Since we were on the way to a concert, I could not take this 80 cm x 80 cm piece with me, so I hide it. I was quite happy to find it still there when we came back and the best the lights inside still work.
Ed-Meier store Munich:
When Uwe from Amtraq told me the Topo Design stuff arrived at the Ed-Meier store and fits just perfectly in the tasteful shop, I had to have a look. Ed-Meier is know for their handmade goodyear welt shoes since 1596 but you will find more than that in the flagship store. A great mix of traditional products and accessoires in classic colors and patterns but enriched by lively and newer ones as well.
Particularly the fine selection of pocket knifes I did not expect or the skull & bones suspenders. They have their “Gamsbar” close by which I somehow missed to see. But for sure this shop will be on the agenda for future visits in Munich.
100 beards 100 days book by Jonathan Daniel Pryce:
Sweetheart & Sister Gloria made me this present recently. She not only got one of the limited prints of this book, no she even got it with some personal notes and signatures by Jonathan Daniel Price. A remarkable project/book by Jonathan, which is a joy to just scroll through. Check also his lifestyle blog for more of his work!
Kaweco Sport fountain pen:
Thanks to Thomas Dirk from Merz b. Schwanen who brought my attention to this great pen, while having lunch together at the Frontküche. Later that day, I found the Kaweco Sport fountain pen @ Manufactum in Munich. Kaweco produces these pens for Manufactum based on the design from 1935. With only 10,5 cm long, a good addition to your EDC. For a very detailed review for this pen check this site.

This is the Argentinian way of having a breakfast, Cafe y medialunas y dulce de leche. One of the best ways to start a day. Dulce de leche can also be used to accompany a flan con crema.
