This guy caught our sight and sure our ears & the Bread & Butter Fair summer 2013. Now we will see him again at the 5th. Anniversary Party of B-74 in Frankfurt. Feinschmuck & be- cause will be there as well to present the new Feinschmuck Collection to take images and for sure to meet some friends – cu there!
We did not visit Lars Nehren and his Manufacture Store Ecke32 for nearly a year, so it was great to see him again and the transformation/change of his store. Some brands have taken over others since then. The former, let´s call it the “peak performance” room is now for womens wear only, which goes very well with the stuff for the dudes. Lars Ecke32 made it quick to the shops you should see when you are in the south of Germany, the “Dreiländereck” (Lake Constance surrounded by Germany, Austria and Switzerland). Ahh and I should not forget to add, he is restocked with some Feinschmuck items now!
Brands quite evident there are: Momotaro, Filson, Tellason, Dehen 1920, Trickers, Red Wing, Schiesser Revival, Pike Brothers, Levis Vintage Clothing, Merz b. From saturday till sunday we went to a hike to a 2395m high alpine hut which was on my absolute to see list since years. Bad weather or snow and bad maps were the reason I did not made it there yet. After a steady 5-6 hours wandering uphill we made it to the already warmed up cabin. 2 hiking couples moved already in and they even made too much pasta. We were generous enough to help them to recycle this well made dinner. In exchange we did the washing and I shared my last drops of Flor de Cana Rum with them.
This was also the first time I was just in time to feast on blueberries, they were always too green or too ripe. The mountains and the landscape in this area is great as well. On the way we passed some really rustic cabins for shelter and as hunting base as well.
I definitely have to head back there before winter comes for one or two nights.
A rare camo pattern is the belgian jigsaw camo. Take a look at the second line of buttons at the side pockets, probably more a backup row than a possibility for an adjustment.
Mendoza Colt Spanish Western ComicGot this great spanish comics from 1958 yesterday. A perfect photo background for the Feinschmuck Western Belt or Longhorn Belt. What I already learned is “Manos Arriba!” which means “hands up”.

VMC Zürich Store visit:Actually it was overdue to finally visit Roger Hatt and his Crew at his store in Zürich. Close in the centre (Rindermarkt) the shop is easy to find. We had about an hour talk with Roger Hatt alone. Even if it was just half an hour the words he spoke were packed with stories about his store, philosophy, japanese culture and the way to run a shop he does, with no less than 10 employes. To sell some of the finest products it needs not just a showroom it needs dedicated/motivated salesman and saleswoman. He got them and he got a lot of them e.g. Fredy works there since 23 years. They make sure you get what you want/need with the perfect fit.
One of the stories Roger told us, was that some of the greatest moments within the shop is when you manage to bring a Top Manager buying a pair of classic brogues (did he say Allen Edmonds or Alden I do not remember – whatever) and a skater buying a pair of converse together in his shop and having a chat. That´s what makes this shop so special. There, you you just don´t not rush in. Things “hidden” there are waiting for you and he and his staff makes the search for it a pleasant experience. So the sign “no self service” is actually ment to support and to service YOU.
And one last word, we – Feinschmuck are very proud to be one of the selected brands there.

The Feinschmuck team went fly fishing last weekend! Except Tillmann everybody caught a trout or even two. Thanks to Dschesi for being so patient to teach us how.
Peter Fields Shop Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg:
During our time at the B&B in Berlin it was a must to finally meet Anie Fields and to see her shop. She was one of the first to order the Feinschmuck Popeye collection so that was another reason to see how the stuff is decorated. As you can see these two girls do a marvelous job in decorating the carefully selected goods within their shop. The brands mix well with unique antiques, vintage stuff and an old racebike (which is for sale as well). As we came there a customer from China pilgrimaged there to buy a Feinschmuck Popeye Zippo.
