I will not post the location here (I do not want to scare someone away (coming here by a search term) who plans to go in this wonderful area). But if you read my blog regularly you already know where it might be.
So one evening I was told by an old man who lives in one village only during the summer time that he saw a young “Lupo“. He was talking only italian the whole time but “Lupo” i could definitely figure out and asked again later and he pointed upward the hill. I wasn´t sure what to think about his observation but the next day when we walked early in the morning on a path and found this forearm of a deer I remembered his story. Im not 100% sure if this deer died of a wulf but other options I checked and couldn´t find another reason. The other skeletton of a deer we found on a less walked trek and this one was for sure a bit older. But the leg looked really fresh to me. Remembering Jack London I could calm myself and Maria down that wulfs do not go after humans and if – only in wintertimes when they are close to starved to death.
Hiking and Paragliders
Hiking around Andelsbuch and watching the Paragliders:
Yesterday we went for a short hike to the Bregenzerwald and went to the Niedere. The area on top of the mountain is a popular spot for Paragliders. We aways saw them flying when we entered this area or left it, but never that close. Amazing panorama from up there, a full 360 view. I have to go back there very early to watch a sunrise.

Yesterday was probably one of the last nights with a barbecue on the lake and a great sunset close to Pirate Island.

Beach Holiday – Varigotti Liguria
Beach Holiday – the italian way – Varigotti, Liguria:
Hmm beach holidays are not my cup of tea. If there is no good snorkeling or diving, no hammock, no family resort (thai style) close by for all day fresh food and fruits. But somehow we had a agreement – I forgot. So after hiking for 4 days we went for 2 days on the beach. If I had to, we had to do it the italian way.
How to do this:
You pick a beach with no german beer advertisements.
Go for a town/beach with mainly apartments and hardly any hotels.
If you want it 110% do this in August.
Pay the price for two sun beds a cabin and one umbrella.
What you get:
Told that it´s too windy for the umbrella and shadow. Suddenly at 15:30 it is ok even with more wind but you are close to Type 1 sunburn.
Campari Soda or really ice cold coke served in a glas.
Or as Aperitivo as well with some snacks.
What you can expect to see:
a retired mafia don,
a kid who shit his pants,
a superyacht who calls in 9 jets to draw a heart in the sky
kids playing around and having a great time screaming and fighting and nobody hardly cares
some of the hottest moms on the planet (I did not dare to take images ;-)
