Yesterday I got two brass Zippo lighters ready to be treated by Feinschmuck, let´s see what they can turn them into. I´ll keep you updated as soon as they got their hands on them. I noticed the security warning on the lighter, hmm I have to get my old one but I´m pretty sure thats a new clue – yes a burning flame is hot and fuel spilled hands might burn as well – oh my god!

First test with putting some patina on the Zippo has been done, check the result here.

I found this nice vintage comic book in an antique shop and I guess I made a little man happy. I like the art/style of the drawings and I hope he will enjoy the stories and won´t use it as a scrapbook.

Having already seen images from some comrades who already received Wouter´s great merchandise set I tried to mail him yesterday morning – but I was late and had to hurry for work. So it was quite a surprise when I saw his letter the same day pinned to my door. I wish him all the best for his site and projects and I´m sure what I´ve already seen there is no worry. I got this around 30 years old sailing drysuit by Henry Lloyd made in England by an mid-old Sailor. He is to big to fit in anymore. He had to drive to Munich to buy this in his apprenticeship. The orange is faded a lot and got heavy abrasions marks all over but I guess it´s still waterproof (90 %) I hope. I will put it into test soon on my first regatta. Let´s see how it does.

If you are on the search for a non forgettable experience on Mallorca, head  to Alaró, turn out of the village to the right for about 1,5 km and then up the hill for about 4 km. You will arrive at the famous Es Verger. The owner the small grandma on the image will put the lamb early in the morning in the oven and it´s left there all day to welcome the guests. The lamb is so tender hard to describe. The place is just beyond description – very typical. Wine was great as well and cheap and we were very lucky that be-cause of the rainy weather not too many guests headed the muddy gravel road up the hill. Thanks a lot !

For sure the best was the day on the Moonbeam IV but the other days were wonderful as well. If you watch your steps and plan where to go you hardly run into the tourist masses and can have a great time. I will post one of my favorite restaurants within the next days.
