Red wine time – Barbera d´Alba Fontanafredda:
The weather here is definitely shifting us towards red wine. Homemade pizza with friends will be accompanied by some bottles of Barbera d´Alba Fontanafredda.
Enjoy the weekend!

Red Wings 9013 cycling:
Images were taken on my way to Konstanz (Ecke 32). Over the last few years I developed quite a dislike for stuff out of synthetic fibres. Some of my sportsstuff is still out of it, but I try to replace as much as I can and when it makes sense. The feeling of being static and the fact that nobody knows exactly what is in this fibres turns me more into cotton and wool (check the Woolpower stuff).
Im sick of cyclist hardly hitting the 20km mark and outfitted for a Tour de France race with stuff from Tschibo. Anyway, the Red Wings 9013, Pike Brother Roamer pant, Tellason Topper denim shirt, and the smaller Swiss Army Backback proved well on a approx 70 km sunshine ride.
Fat City 1972:
Storyline: The film tells the story of two boxers and their problems. One of them is on the decline of his career while the other one just begins his ascent in this sport.
The young gun is Jeff Bridges, looking very young but it´s over 40 years ago.
The Smokehouse – Rohan Anderson aka wholelarderlove:
Another great video about Rohan Anderson known for his website
wholelarderlove.
Smith joined forces with Victorian grower, gatherer, hunter and cook Rohan Anderson to build a pioneer-style cold smokehouse on his property just outside Ballarat.

Old tools, Anchor, Heart and Cross Axehead:
On the way to Konstanz I passed by a barnsale/fleamarket and for a couple of bucks I bought this bag of old tools. Needless to say I stored it away and picked it up on the way back. Today when I started to clean the axeheads I discovered this great hallmark of a cross, a heart and an anchor.
The meaning I found is:
The cross and anchor together were first used in Christian catacombs to represent hope based on the belief in Jesus Christ. The heart was added later to represent charity. The three symbols together represent the Christian tenants of faith, hope, and charity.
I really like this special axehead and now I have to find a well fitting piece of wood for it.
Ecke 32 Manufacture Store Konstanz:
After a too strong coffee I decided to cycle to Konstanz for a visit at the Ecke 32 Manufacture Store. Lars Nehren was able to get some of the finest brands available to the lake of constance (Bodensee) area for what I´m and others are really happy about. Labels like Tellason, Red Wing, Momotaro, Merz beim Schwanen, Schiesser Revival, LVC and Wolverine just to name a view, are presented only a view metres away from the Konstanz Cathedral. First thursday in the month from 7pm to 9pm he hosts the possibility of private shopping upon appointment. Thanks Lars for your time, even on a very busy saturday!
Saturday morning breakfast with Süddeutsche Zeitung:
My first plan this morning was the plan to cycle to the other end of the lake of constance and visit Ecke32, but instead I filled the milk can, went to the bakery and grabbed the Süddeutsche Zeitung – easy …
Pimped an old rusty kitchen knife:
Friday just after work I bought some essentials from my favorite farm shop. And they had a small fleamarket there, where I also bought this kitchen knife by “Friedrich Otto Stöcker Solingen”. Not a real beauty but rugged and easily to sharpen. It needed some some polishing, oil and a treatment on the wetstones. Just fitting wonderful to the other knifes.
