Coca Cola belt buckles and rings by Feinschmuck:
A while ago Feinschmuck did these samples for Coca Cola. The confirmation for a licence to produce these belts and rings hasn´t been given yet. So not for sale, but nice to look at anyway and a great design and craftsmanship.

Harris Tweed – a romantic history
Harris Tweed – a romantic history:
I thought I understood the rules for a Harris Tweed, but I missed the fact that the Tweed has also to be handwoven. Or as seen on this video “footwoven” by cycling the loom.
“Handwoven by the islanders at their homes in the Outer Hebrides, finished in the Outer Hebrides, and made from pure virgin wool dyed and spun in the Outer Hebrides.”
Rehmen to Liegstein hiking in Vorarlberg Austria
Rehmen to Liegstein hiking in Vorarlberg Austria:
Yesterday we did a hike from Rehmen – Au to the Liegstein (1596m). The architecture of the Bregenzer Wald region is just amazing we walked by more than a dozen mountain huts we would like to life in. The Liegstein, a cliff/drop of about at least 300m was the highlight of the hike (basejump?). It took us while to get closer to the edge and to look down. The snow from last week, the surrounding panorama of the nearby mountains and still a bit of a autumn vibe were quite enjoyable.
Montfort Mühle goes Stelzenmühle

Montfort Mühle goes Stelzenmühle:
The small and family run Montfort Mühle in Langenargen was mostly my source for the flour of my bread. Unfortunately the mill needs an overhaul but due to lack of funds they stopped the mill. A college stepped in also from the region the Stelzenmühle. A sad story wich shows how hard it is to survive with “products” which need taste and understanding for a higher price as from a discounter. Already the amount of small bakerys in my area dropped to two, which was around ten only 20 years ago.
Even knowing that the mill is out of service I decided to ride my bike for about 12km one way to load my bigger Swiss Army Backpack with 20kg of flour. I think it is important to support this small run business.
It was worth it check out the result from this fine flour – what a loaf of bread!

Tellason chore coat – Coverall jacket

Tellason chore coat – Coverall jacket:
After about 2 month of constant wear of the Tellason chore coat, now called Tellason Coverall jacket I have to say it performs very well. The big tool or utility pockets are perfect to store gloves, dust masks and other stuff. The seams, pockets, denim and rivets are all without any damage. As you can see on the images, I´m right handed by the marks of the grey nautic paint. Thanks again to Amtraq & Tellason for the “donation”.
Here the earlier post about the Tellason Chore coat / Tellason Coverall jacket.
Home roasted coffee and fresh bread

Home roasted coffee and fresh bread:
Nothing better than the smell of fresh baked bread and fresh rosted coffee! I use the whirley pop popcorn maker for roasting the beans. About 250g of beans for 25-30 minutes at scale 7 from 9 on my oven plate with a constant turn on the “whirler” and shaking the pot. Start with less beans, just enough to just 1-2 layers of beans in the pot, too much and they never get ready in time. Avoid to get the beans burned, thats what the shaking and “whirling” is for. Constant checking is needed so they do not get to black and turn into coal pieces.
After one to 3 days fermentation is done and the best time to make some espresso! If you can not wait, it´s ok to have one straight after.
Accompanied with some fresh baked bread with the out of the pot and no knead dough method a great start for a long weekend.
Wigens Headwear

Wigens Headwear :
Around 10 years ago I bought this Wigens tweed cap to cover some growing hair – and not to look like a full idiot. I´m not the kind of classic hat/cap guy more into watchcaps (like Devold from norway) – Tillman doesn´t like it either.
